I've been looking into persistent custom classes ( they save on your computer so you only have to make them once ), and the way I would have preferred to have them work, just like normal cod but everything's unlocked when you start up the game with no hassle, isn't working so well. Would everyone prefer the current system of making the classes each map, or have some kind of dodgy when-you-join-a-server-for-the-first-time-you-quickly-get-xp-and-rank-up-to-55 kind of styled thing? I'm still investigating it, and keep in mind it will take a lot of work to convert it to the new method ( -_- ) but yeah...

I reckon that its fine the way it is, it only takes a few seconds to make your class, and even if you don't create it in time for the first round (elim) you just play the first round without it, no biggy, really. the quick xp to 55 seems a bit useless to me, as it'll take you more then a few seconds to get the xp, while creating the classes is no hassle, if people have a problem with it, stop being lazy lol, man up!

Fine way it is. Got presets and they work great. People just need to make sure they get theirs into the mod. I hate the dodgy OMG LEVEL 55 spam of points, so please DO NOT do this.

I've been working on it.. and currently the system I've put in place means:

-The first time a player joins any obscurity server, every weapon, attachment, camouflage and perk is given to them
-Their rank is upped to 55 and experience is to match
-This will never happen again, the unlocks are permanent
-The whole process takes about 3 seconds and doesn't involve any screen elements ( if you so choose)
-Classes are persistent and allow custom names
-Overkill is allowed!
-Theoretically, this system should eliminate "Server Command Overflow" error

It is working well now... the only things that I'm still yet to determine are possible in the new system are:

-Perk 4 
-Outfits

If there's no Perk 4, then no change (duh).

Well we can forget about that change... as smoothly as everything was going, we hit another ridiculous wall ( and failure ) on behalf of Infinity Ward.... the same infamous error to do with a limit on xmodels, only this time it was for MENU FILES.... COME ON, why bother allowing anyone to edit things if the potential is so restricted...

So looks like it's back to the create-a-class-every-game system, as a result of this engine's FAILURE... and also means we can't avoid the other engine flaw, SCO.......... I'm sure you can tell how happy I am about this -_-

ps. I have the instant weapon/attachment/camo unlock code if anyone is interested, just add my xfire ( seamusthefamous ), it's done very neatly and easily customised, and all done without the player knowing ( no announcements etc )

If we can get a good selection of preset I dont think its too much of a problem...so keep submitting presets guys/gals. Try make them original!
