That's right, because I know what all your first thoughts were! Anyway... I myself enjoy it and would rather not see it fade into obscurity (mario mode anyone?)... so.... suggestions for improvements? I'm thinking myself:

-Bullet proof vest as another forced perk to reduce TK's
-Guns from marines drop on the ground so they can salvage them
-Some new way of scoring... current is ish to say the least

I like the less tk's so bullet proof best is a great idea weapons dropping defeats the purpose of living to survive.

Edit: i just realised how dumb living to survive sounds but it makes sense when u play.

I would have to say that 3 groups of weps should be made one for your first cap one for your second and one from your third then random everything after that. This is just so the longer a player survives the more dangerous they become.

Now i say this it makes for a much better idea, maybe marines bullet damage goes up for every base they cap so the more they cap the more powerful they become meaning the obs really have to stop them from capping too many in a row because the marines become more and more deadly.

Would it be possible to give the marine a weapon or perk they choose when they cap rather than a random one?

coz I got a silenced g3 the other day....

Maybe all marines should get medic forced on tojust to make them that little bit harder to kill ^^

I would just like to see this when marines quickly become over powered so the obs must act fast b4 they find that they are being 1 hitted by a p90 ^^

Nothing wrong with a silenced G3 :P... I fixed all the crappy weapon bugs IW were too lazy to correct, like the knifing speed on it.

- Longer Spawn Protection?
- Weapon Drops?
- Health/Armor Packs?
- Some form of obscurity/IR viewer for marines (obtained after x amount of kills)?
- Force Field against obs for marines?

Just throwing some ideas out there, may not be even possible some of them lol. I just think it needs something to even it out a bit for the marines in this gametype and keep it from being repetitive, otherwise I love it :)

Just something I quickly thought up:

Random spawn between:

  • Marine with Hustle, BPV and Pistol.
  • Marine with Last Stand, Medic and MP5.

This would allow us to add medic perk, without everyone getting it. You would know what class you are when you spawn by the gun you are carrying.

I like the idea of dropping guns - it means that say if someone has a sniper but sucks with it, doesn't mean someone who likes it can pick it up when they die..

what if u make it to where if both the marines hold the use key in front of eachother they trade weapons... cuz if someone on ur team has a sniper and just charges out there and sprays with it (LOL CRAZY IDIOT) cuz they cant snipe and ur or ur teammate is the best sniper ever, that sux.

Snakelet also raised the idea of swapping/deliberately dropping weapons.. I'll have to look into it and see if there's a non-dodgy way of acomplishing this

What about if you have a medic on your team, when all the marines are grouped together they get extra health so a traditional obs knife won't kill the marine straight away but just disable him like the locational knife wound and the obs screen would be covered in a bit of blood so the ob has to run off and try another tactic to pick them off?

Or some form of sound that alerts other marines that someone just got possessed?

Or a variation of the radar/uav jammer to jam the obs from hearing marines, I guess an Obs Jammer if you will given to the marines after a certain number of armories taken.

I like this, but if used, maybe give it a battery life? Say it works for 30s but takes another minute or so to recharge? or it works for 30s and then you need to do a particular something for more 'energy' ?

Not 100% sure on all of the game modes, i have only played Elimination and VIP :P - forgive me if I'm noobish
