Hey guys,
I have played the CoD4 version of Obscurity alot and enjoyed every bit of it..
I was wondering, now that MW3 is here and has Dedicated servers, will you guys work on an obscurity mod for MW3?

Dedicated server great but are there also map and mod development tools out ? Without both it is only wasted time to put much effort in such a game or without mod-tools it is not even possible.

There is also a huge difference between dedicated servers via a monopoly or full dedicated servers in which you can run the server from any pc/vps/server you wish.

So, MW3 has the monopoly dedicated servers I presume..
Anyway, today I installed cod4 again.. trying to get things working.. I used to play alot but stopped when the LoG| server did, (I was a clanmember back then)
Somehow, between then and now, I have been banned via GGC-Stream.. No idea why.. Gonna get to the bottom of this.. I want to relive the glory days of the Obs Mod..
Shame to hear that CoD these days is so unfriendly to you mod developers..
Obscurity is the best mod I have ever played, so, hope to see you guys soon!

Basically, you need to purchase a server from their selected providers, which are expensive and very restricting as to what you can run/have access to. This is so Activision can obtain a percentage of monthly server payments and restrict what we are able to mod. Its a win/win for the server provider & Activision and a loss for modders and the people hosting COD servers.
I am not up to date on any mod tools and their limitations either. In simple terms - you will most likely not see any new COD mods from us unless it is for COD4.
Keep an eye out for Skyrim mods though. www.obscurecreations.com

That isn't true for MW3. If there was not something with ranked and unranked. But I don't know about map and mod tools.

Fair enough. I have not played any COD MW MP since COD4, but I know they screwed modders over with MW2. Unlikely you will see Obscurity in MW3 due to their lackluster support of modding communities. I am not interested in modding MW3, and I highly doubt Falcar is either.
We have pushed the MW engine to its limits in regards to modding content, and it is unlikely that further iterations of COD have expanded those limitations or removed the restrictions enabling us to expand on them.
We have not forgotten about Obscurity though
