I have created the new server and did everything as I've done with other mods.  However, rcon shows its running 2.99d as g_gametype "OBS_ARM".  Everytime i try to connect I get a "file sum/name mismatch" error.  I have added my redirect to the location of the files on the server, if that's correct. I'd ask someone on xfire; but, no one is one. So if someone could help me out soon I'd greatly appricate it.

My command line when server starts as follows"

+set fs_savepath C:\.....mypath\ +set sv_punkbuster "1" +exec obscurity_defaults.cfg +set fs_game mods/us_obs/ +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip 206.217.128.242 +set net_port 28930 +set ui_maxclients 16 +set sv_maxclients 16 +map_rotate

Also last thing, in my CFG file I added the redirect and gametype (already configured map rotation)

i noticed in the cl that you have the mod folder called us_obs i know in some mods it has to be how you download it so in this case it would be mp_obs299d (correct me if im wrong) im not sure if its the same with the obs mod but it might be worth a try just until falcar or snakelet can help you out

He should be able to name the containing folder whatever he wishes.

Which config files are you using, 2.99c or 2.99d (You would only had 2.99d if you have obtained them from Falcar over xfire).

That is an extremely bad idea. You need a separate FTP/redirect server. The problems I see from what you have done are:

1. Whenever people join and download the mod, the server is going to lag and anyone ingame will lag.
2. Everyone will have access to your server configs, and thus will be able to steal your rcon password
3. Could possibly be why you get file mismatches, as it may corrupt when copying files that are running/in use.

Okay, I was told to get the files from the OC1 server itself.  Also, I have a domain name I've used to host a website for a few years now.  Can I use that to redirect the files to download?
