Hello everyone
Some mates of mine were at a LAN and we tried playing obscurity (this version mp_obs299c_fix.rar).
Firstly, after launching the mod and setting up a LAN listening server, I couldn't access Game Mode Settings, nor could I select the maps as they were all missing in the list. I figured this wasn't a biggie.
The main problem is when I started the server and everybody was in, nobody was chosen by the computer to be the obscurity, so we were all Marines. Also, you can't change teams; there is only a Spectator option and a Marine/SAS button. We tried "Team Opt Out" or whatever it was but that didn't help either. My problem seems to be similar to this thread (https://www.obscuritymod.com/forum.php?thread=303) but I tried the solution to no avail. It would be awesome if I could crank this mod out at the next LAN. Help would be much appreciated :)
Thanks!

Yeah the ingame server setup isn't going to work for obs, you need to run the configs.
Next time download the top file too (mp_obs299_server_config.rar) and place the .cfg within inside the mod's folder (with the mod.ff). When you get into the cod main menu, select the mod to get into it, then when you're in the main menu of that type in "/map mp_crash" to get the server running. Once the map loads, type in "/exec obscurity_defaults.cfg" to load the obs settings (such as gametype, which was the main problem with your first attempt) and then "/map_rotate" to kick the server into the next map and obs gear.

Server config for 2.99c: Here
As Falcar stated, chuck that alongside the mod files and execute it using /exec obscurity_defaults.cfg and you should be ready to frag once you restart the map.
