Hi folks
Since first playing on the obscurity (a very good server) i have noticed some changes in my cod4.
The most 2 noticable things are the nades and the switching of your weapons.
Now when i see nades (frags) explode i see a "ring" of force/impact/shockwave, whatever you want to call it. This is annoying as it makes my frames drop constantly.
The other thing is, switching weapons quickly. This is useful for silent and quicker reloads however now i am unable to switch my weapons fast-- it looks like your clapping when you perform this.
i was wondering, why is this so, i have even tried reinstalling to fix these problems however it is still a problem.
If possible i want to right all changes the mod has made to my cod4.
Any comments from someone with knowledge of the Obscurity mod would be appreciated, i am out of ideas and really want this fixed.
thanks

i have never seen a impact 'ring', maybe describe that a little better, but with the quick reload i assume you mean something along the lines of the double change weapon bind, which is disabled in obscurity as its considered unrealistic and dodgy. this is done by changing the weaponchange delay, which is usually set at zero, but is set to something higher automaticly in obs(can't remember precisely) if you set it back during obs you will find it becomes unplayable until you change it back. the easiest way to fix this is to simply have a seperate profile for obscurity.( or you could always manually change it everytime you leave obs)

the "impact ring" is just your graphics settings turned up high and as for the weapon switching its what phoenix said, the only way to fix it is by either making a new profile and keep two one for obs and one for normal or if you only want one you have to delete the config_mp.cfg in your profile but if you join back to obs it will go back to the slow weapon switching.

r_distortion 0 (it's set to 1 in obs, you know, so you can see the obscurity)
cg_weaponcycledelay 0 (set to 500 or something in obs, so people can't abuse weapon firing binds or perform the reload-shoot glitch)

so if you set the distortion to 0 will you not be able to see the obs?
