I'm new to the forums, so please be easy on me.
I'd like to help out with making the mod look better, by this, I mean revamping the main menu and adding other small things such as:
(I'm not sure if any of these have been discussed before)
1: When you're obscurity, and you use the UAV/Airstike/Helicopter button to switch weapons, that you're hands have claws and they look like they want to grab someone (I don't know about you, but that would surely look creepy and kinda fun).
2: Like I said with my statement above, completely tweaking the main screen (Background/Buttons and such). I'm not sure if you would want to do this, but if so, I'd like to help (Or maybe hold a contest to see who's art is the best).
3: Perhaps custom weapons such as (Just for laughs and giggles) a paint-ball gun that will be almost like hunter except it only marks dots of paint on the obscurity for a given time... (Reality guns) a real flamethrower, crossbow, sword, double-barrel shotgun, zip-line (If possible), etc.
4: New obscurity outfit to look more like a thing instead of a normal person (I at least see it as a normal person when it's standing still, corrections?)
*I have many other ideas, (Those were just my best) but I didn't want this to be too long.*
NOTE: I have some modding/mapping experience and I know of some people with excellent talent for the things I'm talking about such as 3d modeling, image creation/manipulation, and modding/mapping.

1. Considered, but xmodel limits restrict the amount of cool things we can add, hence why we have had to reuse a lot of things.
2. Pointless, as if the server is setup right you will never even see this screen. We see this as a waste of space, and don't want people to have to download an few meg more just for a cool image and music.
3. Again we have pushed the weapon additions to their limits. There is a flamethrower in the VIP gametype (obs_vip). I have also played around with a sword, but it doesn't really fit the mod...a ninja mod however...
4. I personally see obscurity as a humanoid creature/experiment...but this is more in the line of xmodel limits. It could be looked into, but we are really scraping the bottom when it comes to adding things without causing everything to fail due to stupid IW engine limitations.
The COD4 Obscurity Mod Project is slowly coming to an end, so we are really just adding final touches here and there now, rather then implementing new things. I think people will be impressed with the newly polished weather effects once its out.
Due to this, we don't really need any extra hands on board, but we appreciate the offer for help.
As for the future of Obscurity, both Falcar and I have been toying with the idea of making it into a full standalone game. If this ever occured though, it would most likely be very different to what it is in COD4.

yeah i personaly dnt think they were good ideas.. some of them were but yeeah.. itll be great tho if people would start playing agin.. most people dnt play any more...
