Mainly night times, on weekends, check both SoS, OC1 (Obs) or OC2 (HitLoc). There are people in them, just not constantly. You can also Show/Hide server details to your left under each server to get and idea of the times they are active. See you around rex!
(Doesn't help that the data only stays active for a day lol)
Anyway, night times are your best bet to catching a group of people on. Hopefully we can lure some of them back with a new update in the future too.
(I have played around 3 times this week with others.)
Updates are inbound for both HitLoc and Obscurity so keep your eyes peeled.

hey guys. umm some stuff that i have noticed is that now, after that one new update a while back, a lot of ppl have cut back on obs. i got off for about...6? months possibly, and to be honest, i didn't really miss it too much. i did miss it some, but after playing again for a while, OBS just seems different than how it use to be. idk what it is exactly, but it seems like that's how a lot of ppl have felt and why so many have kinda been less inclined to play. don't get me wrong, i still enjoy a good OBS game, they're just harder to find now..i don't mean any disrespect to the creators, just letting you know how i feel and what i see.

Understandable. In fact it has been a pretty good run TBH. We still play on occasion and are still working on updates to both OBS and HitLoc. HitLoc is still fairly new and there hasn't really been an official release yet, so we will see how well it takes off. Either way COD4 is still being played regularly by myself, and as long as I'm still playing it I will most likely still be modding it, whether other people wish to tag along with the progress of our mods is up to them.
If people do not wish to accept or give new changes a chance, or "judge books by their covers" than that is their loss.
Also if I'm not mistaken, that change you are referring to was out roughly 1 month after the release of the biggest letdown ever...therefore it was only natural the player base would drop off to move on to crapper things. (Yes, I judged the multiplayer by it's cover, but from the feedback I read on it at least I judged it's cover correctly)

I can respect everything you have said, even tho you did "judge a book by it's cover" ;) lol. but i do have to say that ppl that i consider to have a respectful opinion on the update, had played it for a while. we just lost the edge of OBS so to speak. we still like it, and what it use to be, it's just something changed it recently (im not trying to hint at anything) to where it's not the same (as in it's missing a key part that made OBS great- not some trivial change). when playing the game, i don't get the same feeling i remember getting whenever i logged on and was a marine fighting against an almost unbeatable foe and still kicking it's butt like RAMBO would [including knives ;)] or acting like an almighty being whenever i was the OBS, yet respecting the brutality of the marine squads. i don't get that same feeling that kept me addicted to it for a long time and some ppl i know also have the same feeling. some reacted more abrupt and some just play it less and enjoy it a bit less. i look forward to your update and hope OBS can be revived to its fromer glory.

Well the new update to the Elimination gametype should help make those really elite obscurity players stand out from the crowd and show off their skills.

You can one hit knife, just aim high, not at their legs or waist.

can't wait for v3. and blazer is right. The entire "feel" of obs changed when the update that made nv a perk and all that. it never felt the same. And btw what changes were made to the elimination mode?

The ability to update and change perks on-the-fly, without quitting to the main menu negates any negativity towards NV being a perk. If you are annoyed cause your OP perk got removed then just say it, but using "OMG NVG as perk sucks" is a lame argument.
Elimination: If you survive the round as an obscurity, you will remain an obscurity the next round.

hmm seems like only a hs works for one hit kill with knife...hardly happens, even when i see a marine hit an obs in upper torso.
also i like that new addition
