Clays have a much more accurate cone of detection in hitloc, and yes, you can trip your own clays. If you look at the lasers you can walk right next to them as the cone is exactly the angle of the lasers. We also plan for bombsquad to allow you to pick up explosives, to remove the hud element of that perk.

OBS PERK. - SELECT A OBS PERK WHEN YOU CHOOSE YOUR WEAPONS AND PERKS AND IT MAY INCLUDE A FEW DIFFERENT THINGS. SOME IDEAS FOR IT ARE:
BAND-AID - YOU DON'T BLEED WHEN SHOT WITH THE HUNTER PERK.
BLOODLUST - A FUNCTION THAT ACTIVATES YOUR BLOODLUST BUT EXPIRES AFTER MAYBE 30 SECONDS.
POSSESSION MASTER - QUICKER POSSESSION AND POSSESSED BODY LAST LONGER BEFORE EXPIRING.
SUPER OBS - SLIGHTLY FARTHER LEAP AND NO RECHARGE TIME ON CONSECUTIVE LEAPS. CAN ALSO CHARGE UP LEAP FOR AN EXTRA HIGH JUMP.

Okay.this is real and i think it would be an okay perk. glow in the dark bullets i was on a field excursion one only to find out an interesting fact and that was that those in WW1 often used a glow in the dark bullet this works ina similar way as night googles. now i think that it would be interesting to see with this perk the 4th bullet of each shot glowing and wherever the bullet lands it stays fir abou 5 seconds glowing. this would be good in night mode games i think and may replace hunter.

You do not fire projectiles from your gun in COD4. There is no travel time between A and B. We would need to rewrite the projectile system similar to MTX for glow in the dark bullets.

lol it would be overpowered, as hunter only gives an indication of where they are and you have to be concerntrating fairly hard to take an accurate shot off of it in my experience, anyways, i usually see the obs before i see the bleeding

There were Obscurity Hell Hounds in WAW Obs...
I think somebody already suggested this, but harpoons wound be awesome if we had any control of ragdolls. A crossbow with bolts that stick into players would also be nice, allowing players to pin other players limbs to surfaces, without killing them

Ok was just thinking about the grappling hoook. Could it be possible to have a perk that would allow you to jump to a hgih distance once. Such as on the 4th perk called super bounce. It would be 1 jump using the killstreak key to do one jump in which you go really high. I thought about other things as well such as being able to have killstreaks as a marine that are simple... Such as having killstreak guns after killing obs 2 times you recieve an overpowered p90 or some other gun. And possibly 4 obscurity kills having a sniper that is one shot kill at any distance.. Or other guns taht the more obscurities you kil the more powerful you become. Also last thing for a stance.. I would love to see a tank stance where your health goes from 130% to 170% for 10 seconds and needs a 30 second recharge. Would be interesting.

Nope... dynamic light limitations were also an issue with glow sticks, the game supports a max of 4 and if there are any more than this (remember that gun shots etc take up lights too) showing at the one time, they flicker between all dodgily.

We could possibly make the dynamic light fade into existance as you move closer to one and perhaps limit the use of them to 1 per marine. But, yeah dynamic lighting in COD sucks heaps. Originally we wanted to make it so no NVG and torches only...

my last suggestion is that there is a perk where you are able to be less affected by the obscurity gun or perhaps being able to suicide in last stand and if the obscurity is watching you suicide he becomes blinded by blood

Sorry if it has, but it takes a while to read through everything...
Short example:
Tripwires require 2 grenades and must be set up to 100 units apart from each other to be active. No obstacles can be between them. The wire that connects the grenades can be half the width of the lasers. Activated when obscuirty trips wire (of course). Maybe include a slight delay for the explosion, and also make it so they can't be blown up by a push grenade.

I think it has been mentioned before, and pretty much decided that clays are effectively the same thing. At one stage we were also considering allowing you to setup a laser that can be accompanied by one of your special nades, and when tripped the spec goes off, stunning/blinding/smoking the obscurity

One more thing! Incendiary smoke would be poooooown! same as smoke grenade but splits fire that damages and grillz obz!!!

The M16 is the designation for semi automatic versions of the rifle.
if you were thinking of the M14 it chambers a 7.62X51mm round, in full Auto, but it has been modified for modern use since the iraqi war started, and has been designated the Designated Marksman Rifle, taken down to single shot and is used in cases where semi auto sniping is more appropriate than the standard bolt action.
The G3 is a fully automatic weapon that was changed to semi automatic in game for presumably balance reasons
flamethrower was special to a game mode,

"FULLY AUTO M16...AND MAKE IT AUTO LIKE IN REALITY" Isn't half the definition of an "assault rifle" that it is capable of more than one firing mode? Burst-fire M16's are very real, and practical.
"M16...NERF IT'S DAMAGE" The damage is fine, it's equal to all the other guns. The reason it can seem powerful is that it fires 3 bullets at once... the whole point of burst fire. If it doesn't suit your playing style, don't use it.
"bling perk" Would be nice, but we weren't given the source for the original models, so can't add anything to them. Even if we could, x-model limit would cause the game to explode. And before you say "OMG THERZ MODZ WITH M21-SILUNCARS!" that one exception, along with a modified M4 (I think) were included in the single player and won't be added.
"Bullet proof vest sucks" It really doesn't, it's epic when someone is possessed or people are just trying to TK.
"Incendiary smoke" Lol, no.

The M16 has classicly been a single or burst shoit rifle, butr it is the m4 carvbine has typically been the fuly automatic, but in reality most soldiers only shoot in 2 or 3 round bursts anyway, going fully auto is really freaking stupid, a good way to destroy your shoulder and is a waste of ammunition lol
the concept of the 5.56mm round is that multiple fast moving small projectiles do more damage than the 7.62mm concept that a single slower moving but bigger bullet will do more damage.
typically the 7.62mm is bettre against body armor and the 5.56mm is more effective against "soft" targets

We removed flamethrower to free up xmodels and fx. We also decided against it as a perk ages back as if more then one player had access to it it would cause fx spam issues.

Burst fire has its uses. Stopping power + and accurate burst will take out an Obscurity. You don't want all the guns to be the same, variation is good. Use the AK if you have a need to full auto spray under pressure.

I have an idea of for ob's abilities. Are u familiar with lfd2? (something like smoker)
An ability where you target an marine with your rifle, hold down the left mouse button and release it where u want the marine be pulled but have a range...(not release the button across the map) like 5-6 metres. The marine can only be releases if an other marine cut's the "rope" or when he has gone to the specific spot where the obs want be released after 3-4 sec.

Incendiary rpgs would be almost as stupid as an invisible helicopter, at4s are in modern fail 2, and I'm not a coder but I don't believe it would be possible to "double click", unless you possibly used multiple firemode, one like a tracker and one an indirect firemode.

Would that be possible with all the effects restrictions? But would it be like hunter, but fire? Would you have to get a massive tag? Because I can imagine it would be a bit overpowered, I mean you changed fire nade from molotov c--ktails because of OP issues

Just kidding. I stated that it was a yet-to-be-determined update, as like stances, it would be part of a new set of features that we have not fully committed to going ahead with yet. It is currently at the planning stage and we are always trying to make the game balanced so we are not going to go ahead and stuff it by making something OP. When we do, we try to fix OP things as soon as possible.

It would work similar to Hunter, but would not be OP with its implementation. Because we have the fire fx already in the game, fx limit doesn't matter as we are re-using them. No definite yes or no for it though as it involves a much broader set of features if we do implement it.

TBH I'm not really a fan of it. We have spider shot and stun shot which can both temporarily hold a marine in position. Something that permanently holds them in place is going to be too OP, and if the obscurity cannot move whilst doing it and there is a visible line between the obscurity and the marine...the obscurity is going to die.

Perk slot 1, takes up a primary weapon slot,
modifies pistol damage by 130%, same mags as bandolier, and maybe something else, would be great fun lol.

RTX clan can we please stop with the ridiculous suggestions... Lol. Snakelet, i really really like the incendi-bullet idea. Must implement. And the gunslinger thing is great too. I would use that.
why did i not see this before..... I really like. The ninja bit that is. But without the wall climbing, maybe higher jumping and can grab wall like the obs?

Acrobat is all you get, sorry. You can survive massive falls and jump higher. That's enough benefit for a perk 3 perk. Definately won't be adding more deadly knife damage as a marine (OBS CAN ONLY KILL YOU VIA MELEE, YOU HAVE RANGE ADVANTAGE). If an Obscurity has difficulty 1 hitting you, then you should have more difficulty 1 hitting them.
Incendiary rounds are looking less likely.

Firstly, multi-guns/pistol based class/perk ideas have been thrown around for years...
Secondly, making a pistol more powerful is pointless, just choose the desert eagle as its power rivals that of the assault rifles. Making it perk 1 would stuff up explosive expert, and giving it more ammo is not needed if you take some of the smg guns as they share ammo, thus allowing you to have a considerable amount of ammo for a pistol.

...or a "tracer gun" replacing the pistol selection where u can tag an OBS with it showing a flashing red light... kinda like in BFBC2 :D I know I know, not a perk :(

Mav, i can tell you now that aint gunna happen. They are already restricted with fx and i am sure they want to use the few they have left for the stances i would say.
