Not sure if i have missed something or if its supposed to be this way.

I have the following set.

set ui_hud_obituaries 1

I was expecting to see obituries when a player kills an abscrurity or vice versa, but on my present settings you get killed or kill someone and get no obits. Also in other mods pushing tab allows you to see which players are still alive on both teams, I don't have that option so its kinda guess work to see how many players are remaining to kill.

Any help much apreciated.

Am running the latest version of the mod with server set to hardcore.

Obituaries are only visible when looking at the scoreboard (by holding tab). The dead or alive indicators were removed for adding suspense, and to accomodate the squad system.

In otherwords this mods difficulty setting is "Beyond Hardcore". You do not get to see the location of the enemies. Press tab to see obituaries and the map, which will display your team only. You can form squads by viewing escape menu, which will allow you to track other players in your squad.

Cheers for the speedy reply, kinda makes sense, shame that dvars cant be added to give server admins the controll of that to enable the option if they so wish.

Great mod installed on our server last night and had some great fun.

Keep up the good work guys, glad to see that devs are still working on cod4.
