I know the IP.
It's different, but HEAT will tell you when they want it public.

until roach told me a few more days, then realised a few more days is equal to about 1 and a half years.

From the information I have gathered from their forums (No official word from Superroach or Batman), the HEAT server will not be returning.
It would have been nice to be informed though
As such, I have removed their server from the server list, until further notice.
Edit: Spoke to SuperRoach and I believe there should be word about this very soon

Well, that's nice faith there Lazer ;)
Ok some dot points:
- We moved to not one but two different servers - Yes I want to get the server back - Yes it will happen - I'm not sure how much longer till it's ready
In short, I got hold of a proper server. Not just a gameserver, but a fully setup from scratch machine in brissy. Bunch of ram, all that kind of nice stuff. It's all linux of course, and so that has been a big step learning that and being confident enough in doing it right (webhosting, bind, domains and user permissions don't come naturally!).
It's more expensive than a normal server as a con to having more control though, so I had to know about how much bandwidth it used before putting it up proper (no use having to take it down when i get a telstra like bill! :P ). To add to the difficulty, the last month when I was testing it and its bandwidth usage, was made useless when hyperVM was hacked worldwide ( a very interesting link ), and stuffed up all meters. It's still broken, but i'm using some independant monitors for an idea of whats going on. I was thinking just then as a test, that a night similar to Monkey's might be a good start, where I run it for a night and set it for you guys to go nuts in it ;P
Technically, I still have to setup punkbuster, maybe streaming services as well so I don't have to deal with retard hackers that want to ruin your fun for their ego (bunny, you know you're one of them). Realisticly, I have to fit it into my life that's full of multitasking between work/clan/podcast/coding/casting and maybe a tad of gaming, and that's where the biggest delay has been - so I hope you understand that I do want to get it going, but im not going to force myself to burn out and have a half baked one neither :)
I hope to write another post by end of week where I should know more about what's going on, and I was thinking of making a community Mumble (it's a voip thing) server too. When you try it, you won't go back, it's great for matches hehe.
Hopefully that clears it all up!

BTW Falcar and I used Mumble today, and I gotta say the quality is great, and the in-game directional VOIP it provides is sweet...just like Arma 2 directional chat, but you can control the distances, fade-out, volume etc.
One thing though, for those using it, I strongly suggest you disable the screen overlay otherwise pb will kick you from servers for using an unkown device. Once disabled though, the program is sweet.
