Hi I was playing on the ATS server with a lot of people from my clan, where all pritty new to the mod and have trouble seeing the Obs. Any way Falcarcame on and kept knifing the obs and some of my clan mates started calling him a hacker. I told them over Vent that he was in the cerdits and they didn't listen much, soon the map changed and then the hint box said somthing about being  Falcar being deadly at close range and once again told them to be quiet. They didn't and then Falcar kicked us all, then left, then we went back on and kept playing.

Just now I joined SoS and then got kicked and waited and rejoined and asked why? (whilst some guy was yelling fomthing about mellon's, which I now realise must be this), got kicked again and then typed Obscurity into google to find this site. Then found my name on the list "// 7e0d4dca - =UTG=Rob - failing at mod/ excessive hackusations".

Whilst I whole heartedly agree that I fail at the mod, I can't recall ever typing that you hacked. Whilst yes you aimed in at me through a wall and then ran around to knife me. The VIP was standing next to the wall shooting his flamer and you were proberly checking on him, whilst I was seeing if I could posses him. You proberly heard me run up to the wall, although I thought you wouldn't over the flamer. I know this proberly dosen't seem like a good thing to meantion but I was gonna ask how you did it, but you kicked me before then.

Hopfuly I can play again as I do enjoy this mod.

From what I hear you were all banned for constant accusations and sooking because Falcar was playing well, even after he explained that he was a developer of the mod and had about 1 year experience playing it.

It will be up to Falcar when you are unbanned, but it's best you know that the minimum time you will be banned for will be until the next update. I suggest you perhaps read up on how to play the mod or play around with it offline so that you understand exactly how it works. There is a comprehensive help section within the menus that should provide enough insight so that you and your clan mates understand that it is not hacking that got you killed it was skill on Falcar's behalf, and lack of knowledge on your clans behalf.

we all usually we all have "hack" days like these... good ol strike. can u really be banned cause "fail at the mod"? lol

I know most of my clan members were accusing him of hacking and I do acknowledge that, but I can only recall three of them saying those things and even after I told them we got banned, two of them said they had left the server before that happened also I believe that I never said that he hacked or accused him of it.

He said Ten months :P Also I already knew he was a Dev, but when you watch the replay you only see the glimmer before he knifed us. As I said were new to this and unless holding a heavy and spraying, Obs normally always won.

We read the Help section and liked messing around with the Obs gun and warping through walls (even if it did mean falling through the floor :P). Even though some people kept possessing me whilst moving around and I could never do it. :(

Their was another time where I pressed f to get pass Falcar and to the VIP and he knifed me whilst speeding past him.

I honestly can't think of anything else to say but beg.

Edit, Is this right too? Marines launch/lunge at the Obs but the Obs don't on the marines?

The obscurity knife distance is only a fraction farther. Animation doesn't show this though. If you notice a big difference between killcam and what you saw, you or the person that killed you probably lag.

I banned everyone who I saw in UTG on ATS that day for being douches, was tempted to ban the other 10 or so guid's I tracked down using mav's server tool following the logic that the entire clan would be d---heads (#Dth clan, anyone?) but didn't because there were too many. Myself and all the other experienced obs players (snakelet describe roof  phoenix etc) can see the obs quite easily, and I can understand why it would appear suspicious to someone who just started playing but when I tried to explain this and asked whether you have played with experienced players I recieved the response "have you ever played without hacks?". It went downhill from there, even when I told them to record/get an admin to pbss me they continued to accuse me without any proof.

You in particular didn't annoy me at all, you were just guilty by association. I'll release a temporary quick patch on ATS's server to unban everyone except Crash who (judging from screenshots I have) was the instigator, and in the next full update I will have you all unbanned on every server (I have no idea when it will be done).

ps: your clan didn't seem to have a very positive reputation when I asked if anyone had reasons for NOT banning you all

Bunny, I've banned for it.

It wasn't just "hacker!".

In my case almost every round I got a comment. "hacker downnn" and crap like that, followed by a few spawn teamkills, after being told to shut it and prove it before they regret it.

hey i want to apologise to u guys for being a douche when i was playing on the server. especially u Falcar i was just having a bad day.  i know u dont hack i was just annoyed from other things and shouldnt have taken it out on you.
