to get obscurity mod to work on the custom map, what gametype do i need to implement? does it run off of TDM?

It doesn't use a stock gametype, but it does use the spawnpoints from TDM and HQ :)

i think what Inferno is trying to say is how does he start an obs server so he can roam around the maps himself and practice?

I always have thought of obs maps, and i know that there has been talk of them.
But i havent seen one yet, but it would be pretty cool to play on one.
I myslef, have no expertese in that area, so goodluck on those out there.

lol i made a map we used for obs, problem was i just didnt bother doing the finishing touches so it died ^^

iSnipe No it's not xD He was asking me to help him with it. We are going to be making an Obscurity "Obstacle Course" if you will. He just wanted to know if we have to get a special gametype from you or how to go about implementing it. ^.^

an obstacle course eh ^^? one of my maps had the obscurity start in an underground tunnel and to get out they had to get to end (bout 10metres away) and press the USE key and jump out :P (use key opened the hatch while allowing them to jump out =])

If your maps support all the default COD4 gametypes, then it will work.

ive played pripyat custom map on a polish server i think?? tunnels galore and a pain in da butt ta find ya self around

Yeah the map is pretty good :D and the server, im guessing, is the POLSKA server - very popular always 13 - 20 people playing

my bad, we put pripyat on our server last nite and its a radio active type map with yellow suit pick ups...
the tunnel map ive seen was on a french server i think, not sure of the name
