If I remember correctly the public no-mod mode in cod4 has a quick key for the c4 ( make em explode without holding the trigger device) I think it was pressing double F.. would be nice for obscurity if u ask me

It was removed to make it harder.
And don't you think making like 5(or more) posts on ideas is a bit excessive?

Yes please use the other ideas threads to post your ideas. There are plenty already existing. I will have to start purging them otherwise.
As for the double tap f to trigger. It was removed to give Obs more of a chance as people were placing c4 and standing as bait, then when the obs swaps they go boom (almost as cheap as swapping a marine to a high spot). Now that you have to switch to it it makes it difficult for this to occur and be abused.

To give obs more of a chance.. Learn to play it and u'll see marines are easy to kill, even when they have c4's <3..

Didn't mean it like that.. Anyway, I think it's just a form of tactic.. Serious obs wudn't swap, they would pull or knife directly. Most of the time, if I swap someone, I'm playing with him/her

It was in for a long time. it got abused. It's gone. We may re-implement it with the c4 system we tried and removed, if we decide to re-add that system back in. Until then, no double tap use for boom.

What? I use swap all the time... easiest way to steathily get behind someone while at the same time cutting down the number of marines you have to take on at once.

yeah I put marines in awkward spots when there's too many, just pick one off so they don't have as much support.

They were talking about your reference to "Serious" players who will only pull or knife. And you're the one who's not thinking if you're going to make a reply to the MAKER OF THE MOD with such a disrespectful tone. I think you should go play a bit more and really learn ALL the ins and outs of the mod before posting again. And FYI static is where it's at for the hardcore people.

We're talking about people using teleport and even if they did have c4 they would blow it if they got teleported because that's what idiots do.

Seriously, what I meant was, the marines standing in the middle of no-where (with c4's underneath them (but u don't know)) if u swap them, ur just doing it to play with them.. Ofcourse it's smart to swap to get behind 1+ marines

It's comments like those that are making others annoyed. There is no need to put people down whether it' a mod maker or not. It's not criticism, just rude.
As for the C4 double tap, which is what this topic is about, we have been working on this mod since last year and have played it extensively. The double tap shortcut was too overpowered and was removed, and if both your hands are on the gun how are you going to push a trigger anyway. It's not that difficult to switch to the C4 detonator, and if you don't want to wait then keep it out.
You would also be surprised how many people planted the c4, got swapped and blew them up anyway without a care in the world as to how many other marines were there.
