Just a quick thought on the laser perk.. It's nice that is has a bleep sound thingy.. But it's kinda useless if u ask me.. I mean, the bleep goes, and the smart ob would trick the marine using the bleep against him.. In my opinion, the marines can be good. But the obscurity side should win with a bit of trouble (not much). So might be an idea to buff the laser, like make the obscurity get smoke around him or something.. So they're a bit more vulnerable..
And think of the obs jumping in and out and in and out laser to annoy people with the bleeping, tho it's funny to do, but when they get such an effect I think they would think twice....

They are only there to notify you of the obscurity presence. If you use them right then that should be enough.

The laser update rate isn't quick enough to achieve something like this :( I'll think about the issue though, seeing as I have noticed a drop in the number of people using lasers compared to say, medic.

That's just cause medic gives you a life :). All of the other perks get less use now too. When medic didn't self revive, nobody used it. Triggered laser a different color is a good idea though, maybe just goes lighter for couple of seconds if it has been passed. Would help when you have spammed lasers everywhere.

When I first saw this I thought to myself, "Self, why would I need to buff the lasers?" And I thought about how laser placement should be. Lasers should not be placed all in the same room, I usually couple lasers with clays. The idea is to set a path to force the obs to follow you sprinting down after he's used all his jump. The lasers give you an idea of how far down that path he is. I usually place them at LEAST 20 feet apart. With clays at the end of course (Like a big race, and the winner loses xD ) But then I thought in terms of use, yes, I have also seen a decline since the amazing-ness of the self revival medic kit. So I guess a color change MIGHT be appropriate as a visual confirmation as well as aural. I think it could be a viable improvement / upgrade. And maybe if you couples lasers with the fire perk you could have a laser that triggers only once, but sets the target (ANY person, not just obs) on fire. And you'd only get one. Could be fun? idk xD.

... or leave the color of the lasers as it is and another complementary perk in the Third Perk group called "Cutting Lasers".
When used the laser cuts the trespassing predator based on where the hit registers and inflicts damage and causes bleeding in addition to alerting the marines.

Or big boooooooom! =P nah j/k on that one.. I thought about a similair idea tbh, something like a poison sting if they pass the laser (as perk 1/2/3)
But that perk would be useless without the laser then..

nah nah nah. u can see obs clearly already and when ppl spam lasers there would be no way for the obs to kill them (cuz laser beams or fire hurt obs). beeping is just fine. maybe change colors for the aquad ur in but thats all thats needed.

Make an equivalent to lasers; Barbed wire ;D!
and if you shoot an OBSCURE then it pushes them back for every shot that hit, it's only fair: seen as they can jump to the other side of the map anyway

Obscurity players do get pushed back when shot. I have died many a time cause I cant move due to sliding back from a blast.
As for barbed wire, we really want stuff we can implement properly, but we are pretty limited by the animations. We were going to add a class that could create destructible barriers, but then we decided to make perks instead of classes. (Few issues with on the fly collision creation and such).
