No, permission to do such things is not granted. Sorry.

As stated many times, the mod is not open source, and we do not appreciate people tainting it with things they want to add to it. A lot of work goes into making the mod a very high quality mod, and if people are editing it left, right and centre than that quality becomes sub par.

All we can offer is that you suggest what changes/additions/bug fixes you want and perhaps, if we deem them appropriate, they may be taken into consideration and added in future updates.

It would also help if you described what exactly it is you think needs 'fixing'...

And I have total respect for that. The problem that me and a friend have fixed is the time scale problem. Figuring out the problem that made this mod impossible. As stated before in an earlier post... If I remember correctly, you are not focusing any on this mod. Which is were I stop and think about the "Future updates" you imply.

All I'd like to do is have some of the FX files that went into the ff. That I can not export being the mtx_bullet(Something) Basically the bullet trail that was used. Open up create a class... (Which I already did and recompiled into the ff.) For the time scale problem, It is currently being assessed by me and my clan mates. I of course am not trying to ruin the mod but unleash it's full potential.

But aside from that. I suppose since permission is not granted. I will tell the guys to drop the project. Till you and I talk alittle more about this project. My xfire is above as stated. I have added you getting nothing back. Or  a Ventrilloserver would be quite nice too.

Sorry I thought you were referring to Obscurity, my mistake there. Everyone wanting to tear it apart lately is kind of getting annoying.

MTX, is abandoned due to timescale issues on dedicated servers. It works 100% fine when testing on listen servers, but once you host it on a dedicated server you will get stuttery performance with timescale. Most noticeably when watching players jumping. It is definately playable, but not up to scratch for us.

If you believe you have fixed the above I would suggest speaking to or awaiting a response from Falcar as he will be able to discuss the issue on a more technical level. I'll give him a heads up.

Fourms are quite annoying for this matter since I am updated on my phone. BUT. the aliens mod has an admin menu to edit the time scale for that mod it can either be. Normal or 1 Slow .5 or Fast 2  Which is abit much.  You can not boot a server in another time scale. Which is were this problem is. But if you add a script in. AKA the admin menu in Aliens. It can be turned up or down at the admin's finger. Problem solved.

 <New - I know about the Obs then. I love it currently and as It is. I was just hoping. If we can this mod to work. It would be worth something.

MTX is built around timescale being set to a specific speed, and then gameplay being sped up around it. This is the only way to have characters moving faster than everything else, whilst still maintaining the overall slowmo action of it all. At the level we need it, it is stuttery.

I'll let Falcar reply, but from what you have stated, I do not believe the above is a fix to our issue.

As for speaking, I am at work so I can't respond any other way, sorry.

It stuffs up because the netcode is thrown out of sync... the server isn't "booted" up any speed. MTX makes it slow exactly the same way any admin command would, called after the map has been loaded.

I'll experiment with it with Snakelet, but most likely the alien mod stuffs up too- it isn't always immediately obvious that it's broken, often it goes through waves of lag and waves of no lag as the frequencies line up.

hello,

{BCT}AssAssIn here.

i've been working with micro on adding guns (only the ones from the movies for realism sake) to the mod.

having a problem getting them into the mod though. as long as i add it to the .iwd with the same name as one of the guns that are already there, it works fine. when i try to add it with a different name, the console ingame says it can't find the gun.

[for instance: i added all the parallelReflect and perpendicularReflect and projectile__ lines the to M4 (which i intend to reskin to be the T2 MK5) and saved it in the IWD as mtx_m4_mp. when i started a devmap though, it said it couldn't find that gun. so i renamed it to mtx_uzi_mp and spawned as trinity and it worked fine as the m4.]

would it be possible for micro or i to get the original source (the FX and .menu files in particular) so we can add guns to the gsc files and rebuild the mod?

Sorry about not updating you in while, the mod is currently being reworked. Weapons are being added and the server sync issue has been worked out to a managable way. Although I have been spending too much time in our clans Obscurity server in 1.6, Will still keep you updated
