In the last few days after the 2.99d patch i have run into some minor problems.
Im loving the game and thought i was just leave a bit of feedback about some of the problems/ errors i have encountered:
1. the lighting seems to be too bright sometimes. ie In the first few rounds on backlot as obs, teh top of the main building w/ the gun was REALLY bright (like i couldnt tell the wall from the floor)
2. sometimes leap doesnt seem to work. ie I have leaper stance, and after i leap down to someone i leap again when i hit the ground, but when i do i leap as if i had jumped (i spam leap like 3 times during this and everytime was the same. I had to wait a few seconds to it to be normal) although most of the time it works properly, i leap down to someone and leap back up, leaping a highish distance...
3. The bug where the obs gun runs out of ammo is still around. I was running as obs and i heard the sound like i picked up ammo, but instead my obs gun stopped working...
4. there is a spot on the map ambush where the obs gets insta killed (this is above ground, behind a fence somewhere next to a tree.....) dont know if this is on purpose or not but i thought i would just let you guys know anyway.
I know that some of these may be a problem on my part, let me know if I might have some settings wrong ect...

1. The lighting for Obscurity players is brighter, but colour has also been added so it is overall much easier to spot and differentiate objects and players, rather than the previous normal vision whereby there was hardly any colour. We suggest a value of /r_gamma 0.8 when playing our mod. Anything above 1.2 I consider cheating and lame, as it ruins the whole atmosphere we are trying to achieve during night gameplay. You scums know who you are. We may be adding counters soon to stop this BS.
2. There is a recharge on leaping. The only time recharge is not required is when you are stuck to a wall with leaper stance, and are using stance special to leap. This is nothing new.
3. This occurs sometimes, and currently there is no fix we can input to stop it other than suggesting you go to vanguard and manually charge the firemodes for the duration of the round. We know what causes the issue, but unfortunately, no foreseeable fix that we can implement.
4. There are certain points that the developers input into maps to automatically kill players. The maps were not built with the obscurity movement freedom in mind unfortunately.

thanks for hte response.
1. where do i change my gamma?? and PLEASE do something to stop ppl changing there grafics or something..... cause people that lower their grafics have little trouble seeing me....
2. I know there is a recharge time, but usally i can get at least a bit of a leap instead of a simple jump. Ive only had this problem since 2.99d (possible error or coincidence let me know)

1. You can probably change it in options and also the console. 2. Nothing has been changed for leaper. It functions exactly how it did prior to 2.99d WIP release.

3. there is a foreseeable fix in future, with a different approach to how the gun reloads. should be included soon, if it works.

There is an easy way to limit the /r_gamma and other commands.
PunkBuster has a command limiter setting and I used the ones from official Promod/PAM4 servers as a refrence, then implimented my own alongside them.
It wouldn't allow players to set command such as those that take away grass after 10 meters or have special binds to give an unfair advantage such as scrolling.
I'll go looking for them if ANYONE here is interested. (Only works on PB enabled servers)

It looks like a marine had his gun stolen via the use of stalker. But if in fact it is a bug, it is very difficult to work it out unless details can be provided as to how it occurred. As we have never seen this bug, and until people start repeating it everywhere, it is not really a major bug, but we will look into it a little.

It's defs a marine because he gets neck-slashed and screams when he dies, also his death signals the round's end - but the problem is pretty rare and happens even in stock cod, somehow a player is assigned the other team after all the scripts are called. Don't think there's anything we can do about it, and I doubt you'll see it happen again.
Remember how we've seen the opfor guy leaping around the map snakelet? Same bug, and we've only seen that twice ever xD

recently as obs ive been trying to take out lasers with the push obs as usaul, but it isnt working.... and now its getting really annoying as i have no effecient way to get rid of lasers... (i still think there should be a stance that ignores lasers :P)

You aren't supposed to be able to use push to destroy them.. I think the gore fire mode might work with a direct hit, or you can always knife them :P

but direct hts hard so hard, so you have to be kinda close, which means its easy for them to do a quick obs check outside their room (or where ever they are hiding) and spot him...
its just slow and painful to do it that way, push was great cause it didnt need to be a direct hit..
like on kill house, if i want to get the lasers at their spawn i have to be either on the ground (and die) or hang on the wall and shoot, but ppl just spot u if u hang on the wall....

Perhaps we will make the tank stance special ability destroy them if they are in range. That way you can run in, use the special, hide and switch stance and then go back and dominate them.

thats what ive been thinking, although the laser destroying range could be a bit smaller than the explosive destroying range or it could be too easy to get rid of them (but not too small lol). you could make the pistol do aoe splash damage to lasers? that way you couldnt rid an entire building of lasers in 1 go

We shall consider incorporating some changes to make destroying lasers a little easier. Personally, I think reducing the amount of lasers from 6 to 3 may be a more suitable option though.
Edit: We have agreed to reduce the amount of lasers a player gets to 3.

Lately i have spotted Mon_T being able to use MEDIC and get back up 5 times in a row after he has been downed.
I and several other say that they can't do it even if they are there lying on the floor for a while, im not sure if its the bug or just him but its REALY annoying considering the obs main knife is slow, and it takes too long to switch to the pistol to kill him afterwards :S

Yeah, we already have that bug fixed on our server. Just connect to grab the files. Try that version, and if it is still there let us know. Battle Hardened bug should be fixed next update.

Perhaps only fixed for gutting not cripple idk...I'll have a look sometime. In the mean time, perhaps ask Mont_T what he is doing to heal so many times next time he is doing it, as that will help us narrow it down and fix it quicker.
