I was banned today. I dont really know why but i was accused for hacking. Im sure alexxxx had his reasons. First off i doo not hack and you can take as many PBSS as you want. I do not hack at all. It would be nice if we could talk about this because im an honest player, i could even takee a video of me playing so you see what I see the obs as on my screen. I like the mod and im hoping after some discussion you guys will reconsider.

I think the most obvious moment was where my friend was on the obscurity team and he hid.

He was hiding at the top of the tall building on crossfire. I had no idea where he was but I was spectating you, and after watching you turn and look up there a few times, then try & throw a nade up there, I asked him if he was there and amazingly enough I was right.

I do like how you acted really noob for the first 10 minutes when you joined though, nice try.

Yeah I'm pretty keen to see this screenshot too. I won't be able to take another word you say seriously if it's a screenshot of normal cod as "proof" that you never have hacked.

Any screenshot provided by you would not really prove anything. Hacks can be disabled and images can be edited or faked.

The fact that you change your name every time you join is suspicious enough. One of your names even implied you liked melons, and as such we have given them to you. As per the last person we banned, if you get your pbbans appealled, we will consider removing the melon ban.

kk there ya goo.. Describe' the reason i saw him all the way up there was because of this.. sometimes when i enter the server the obs clock invi thingy is inverted, this reflects what is underneath them.. The reason i saw that obs so far up on the building because he was plain light brown. He was not the color of the skyy he was the color of the building he was on.. I knew right then and there that if i killed him. It would ruin the fun for the other people in the server. So i toyed with his location throw a nade etc looked up there if he was still there plain that only. I was not hacking and i acted like a noob so that it would not ruin the fun for everybody else. I put more then one of the screenshots at different angles soo that u guys wont thing they are edited as Snakelet said..

I did not bother to look back at forum because after reading some of the ban apeals.. it dosent seem like you guys would ever take me seriously.. i dont think these screenshots would be enough as well to convince u guys.. well think about it please.. dont just look at them then reply right away.. discuss it with ur admin buddies... if its not enough fine, ill politely step aside.. (those screenshots were taken before the ban when Ripper was showing me something)

Those pictures do look as though its a glitch with how your card is rendering distortion shaders (I'll wait and see what Falcar says about this), but do you care to explain your ban on pbbans?

If it was just that issue we'd probably make you find a way to fix it permanently, and pbss you a lot just to check, but you have a ban for hacking listed against your GUID.

We will not lift the ban while your pbbans.com record stands.

GameHack #81000 is a fakeban. It is already known that non cheat-programs can trigger violations from GameHack #81000 to #81043 like it is written in last post here. But unfortunately PBBans have not become in knowledge about this issue. I stay away from PBBans enabled servers and don't reactivate it on my own servers since I'm in knowledge that PBBans ban players who didn't cheat. Yes I had it on my servers for 5 days and in these 5 days my server banned maybe 120 players thought PBBans. I think 85% of the bans were for GameHack #81000.

GameHack #81000 get triggered, I found out later, when the player has installed the no-waitpatch and the server has set the dvar "pb_sv_restrictions 0". I had this dvar at 0 for some special reasons.

So I think it isn't fair to melonban a player who was not caught with a cheat and I'm thinking about to deactivate the melonbanlist on my server if I have to think some players aren't guilty.

I will elaborate later, but we do not stream to pbbans. We ban based on pb screenshots that clearly display hacks in use.

If players are suss and they return corrupt pb screens, we then check pbbans and cybergamer. We have built in mod specific commands to make capturing a hack manually a lot easier.

I can honestly say that 90% of the hack bans are based on screenshots displaying hacks. (Eg. Clearly using wallhacks.)

Elaboration:
• Either his drivers are outdated, his graphics card does not support shader model 3 or he has dodgy settings. Either way he has an unfair advantage and needs to try and fix it.
• We do not ban based solely on pbbans. All bans we perform are manually caught via research. If a pbss fails and they are on pbbans, we will ban them if they are performing very suss kills.
• This nowait patch you talk about does not sound like an official game patch, and as such is dodgy to say the least.
• Setting pb_sv_restrictions to 0 for 'special reasons' pretty much nullifies your argument. You need to elaborate otherwise that in itself is suss.
• Melon bans are server controlled so that if servers do not wish to use them they do not have to.
•  Nearly every single permanant melon ban on the list is due to a manual pbss of a suss player returning visual confirmation of hacks. We do not stream to pbbans at all. Every single ban is manually and thoroughly researched. If you have suss settings and patches running, then clearly you will get picked up by pb.

If you play suss, return invalid pbss and have a pbban, you will be banned unless you can get it appealed. If you play suss and your pbss is clean, you will not get banned. I put it to you to think of a more fair process, whilst keeping servers clear of players using hacks.

If what you say is true, Zac, then he can easily contact pbbans regarding the issue and then I imagine they will remove the ban.

Also I don't see the need for trying to keep a low profile with constantly changing aliases if you have nothing to hide - usually it actually does the opposite and arouses suspicion on our server as our modmins constantly track aliases and guid's.
