I just got into the server to i can play some obs then i was permenantly banned despite not hacking..
I dont understand what is going on. How can i be hacking when pb is on and in addition i am using a Macbook Pro.. I would love to have an explanation please. This is all a misunderstanding and I hope it can be resolved quicky.

Dedrick plays on the pc next to me most of the time including tonight and he does not hack hes asian and needs to get out of the house every now and then and they were pb Violations not named hacks it was probaly from when pb first brought out the hardware guids did not agree with them.

That there is the date that the ban was added. So don't try and fly a useless excuse like that here.
It is also listed as a PB HACK, not "just" a violation.

My firewall was on so you could not pb screenshot me, so i apologize and it was a PB violation. I had a program that was not letting pb function properly, lots of softwares can mess with PB and in this case it was my virus protection that messed with PB and led to the violation. It was not a "Game hack" and my other point is that the preivous violations have a different hardware guid hence that they are on a different computer. Which is my mac book and as some of you know there are not cod hacks that can function properly on a macbook. I would even take a picture of my gaming set up for you guys.

The thing about having your firewall on is that if your firewall doesn't allow punkbuster access to your pc and the internet then you end up getting kicked. So obviously your punkbuster was on and allowed access.
edit: your GUID is still the same regardless of what machine you play on.

hardware guid is different its as simple as that
and
pb calls things like virus protecters and anti keyloging programs PB HACKS coz they disruped PB by accedent so don't u think thats a strong argument and not a weak excuse
there are different types of guids that PB takes look it up and virus protections do interfere with PBSS look it up even well known nortons does

It is called a HARDWARE GUID. You guys are not even considering the explanation just because someone is better then you does not mean he is hacking. Ive been playing the mod since it came out.. You guys have to consider the arguement not just shoot it down because you think you are so right. Please be mature about this please. Those are valid excuses. Those are violations. "Violation"

When someone is banned for aimbotting what do you think it says? It says VIOLATION (AIMBOT) Should we say sorry and let them go on their way because it's "just a violation" ?
What does your hardware guid have to do with anything? We don't ban according to your hardware guid, we can't even view it. We ban based on your COD4 GUID.
Unless you can convince pbbans.com that you don't deserve that ban for hacking then your ban will stick, and that's exactly what it is - a ban for hacking (PB HACK)
That's all there is.
edit: Do you even know what a hardware GUID is? why do you think that saying it repeatedly will make us magically realise that you don't deserve a ban?
Your hardware ID (HWID) is simply a unique identifying number your pc has.

"hardware guid"? You mean MAC address? not even relevant to this thread.
And just quietly - there was no firewall or virus program stopping the transfer of the pbss or your pb communication with the server itself. The server was receiving all of the screenshots your computer was sending, they just all had error messages. This alone would not have been a reason for the ban, some other people occaisionally have the same problem too. It is merely what prompted me to check pbbans.
Problems with drivers or antivirus programs that PB accidentally identify as issues are listed as Disallowed Program/Driver.
Typing in bold or blue does not help.

"Your hardware GUID is simply a unique identifying number your pc has." well done thank god for google and the VIOLATIONS are just that pb didn't even think it was necessary for a ban or he would be globaly ban but insted hes allowed to keep playing because PB is not fool proof some things it picks up as some thing disrupting pb and not the game or he would be banned GLOBALY do u understand that the chances are that thats all it was just a mistake that pb picked up on a virus protector PB knows this thats y the guid is not globaly banned. PB on first offence PB globaly bans ur guid end of story hes not because PB does not know if it was just a virus protector.
hardware GUID is the like pbs alis for it kinda but they are trying to use them to stop hackers on all games and ty for being reasonable

If you can get it appealled with PB/Evenbalance, then we will also lift the ban.
If what you say is true, the appeal should not be that difficult to obtain. Let us know when it is appealled and we will lift the ban.

Jesusbanging I think you should stop posting in this thread, you're not helping your friend out at all. Nothing you've posted here has been helpful, logical, or even the slightest bit correct. In fact, you're just p---ing me off with garbage like your text-vomit regarding this mystical "hardware guid". He was banned by his CoD4 CD key's guid. See the box there that says guid? That's it. Not a MAC address. It has nothing to do with his computer, any previous history of his computer, or any virus program. It's the product of the authorisation code he received upon purchasing CoD being put into an algorithm to produce a unique sequence of letters and numbers to identify him as a player.
If you stroll on over to the PBBans information centre, you'll find a whole host of information to wreck yourself with.

In particular, the incoherent paragraph you desecrated the forums with about punkbuster "violations". If you take a look at this page, which contains facts unlike your posts, you'll notice that there are a couple of pb violations that aren't a big deal - the ones to which you were referring - but your friend's is right up there in the Cheat/Hack category.
Furthermore, the reason why he wasn't "globally banned" is because PBBans isn't an official EvenBalance/Punkbuster website or service. It's run by the community to prevent scum from simply being banned from 1 server, after being positively identified as having cheats on. Normally, because punkbuster is stupid and gay, it will only issue a 2 minute ban on this occasion (which is exactly why the website was started).
Before you start talking s--- trying to defend someone, know what you're talking about.
