Sounds cool. Glad there is support for this mod! Still wish NV was added back in by default (or moved to perk 4 :P) Thanks for at least fixing the FOV on NV, tho.
<<-Obscurity no longer trip clays/lasers while observing >> What does this mean "while observing?" While in crouch mode?
<<-Crossfire works again>> Sick! Never had the opportunity to play OBS on Crossfire, but read you guys had trouble w/ adding it back in due to the mod's limit, or a bug? In any case, can't wait to try it out on one of my fave maps!
<<-Obs rifle correctly destroys C4 and lasers>>
Is this part of the new "pull firing mode" feature? Or ?

Observing means when they use the observing firemode. its the one with the eye thingy
yay crossfire
and obs rifle used to always destroy C4 and claymores when you shot them with any mode, and it now it does again.
nothing to do with the new pull feature apart from the fact that pull, like all the other firemodes, will destroy claymores/C4

Could you move NV Goggles to perk 1 because Perk 1 is more for equipment like C4 and Clays and Perk 2 is more like weapon upgrades.

Actually, Perk 1 is for extra ammunition and or explosives (c4, clays, x 3 nades), perk 2 is equipment upgrades (BPV, scent mask, stopping power), perk 3 is physical upgrades (extreme conditioning, acrobat, steady aim, iron lungs) and perk 4 are obscurity only perks (lasers, medic, hustle). Both Falcar and myself agree that it fits in best within the perk 2 category.
Also, adding NV to perk 1 category would ruin how explosives expert works. It fits in best within perk 2 category.

This post probably won't do much to change the dev's minds, but I'd have to agree. I've had more time to play OBS this past week and I'm usually using Stopping Power in Perk 2, which really helps nail an OBS. Maybe it's just my pessimism, but I honestly feel the weather system is about 60-70% lousy, or dark, and requires the use of NV. There are a few others, including some top players, in EAS server who seem to notice this as well. Thus, the risk becomes: Do you use perk 2 for NV, but lose Stopping Power? Or do you risk keeping Stopping Power, but at the expense of not being able to see? In other words, NV will enable you to see, but you'll waste more ammo trying to stop a pred. Alternatively, if you use Stopping Power over NV, well, you'll be able to stop a pred easier, but you can't even see them and will end up dying more than likely.
I know the dev's said they did this (eliminate double tap in place of NV) to make it easier for the pred's, but if you wanted to make it easier for them, why not consider (re)extending the knifing distance for pred's? Or if this is a server-sided option, disregard what I just said :P
Just thought of something else to consider: have the dev's (Aussie's, no?) considered playing and/or observing the differences in play style and tactics in EAS' USA server? Perhaps what is, generally, working out well for you guys may not be so similar in taste to what we (again, generally) like to do, and how we like to play. Just as an example, Farlcar wrote that you Aussie's set your Marines-to-Pred ratio to 8:1, whereas we like to roll much differently at 3:1. As I wrote before some of these new 'features'/updates, IMO, feel more forced/tacked on by the dev's w/o much consideration for the mass public/fanbase. But, then again, I could be completely wrong.
So, I guess what I'm asking is, if you could perhaps get some feedback from players in EAS server, and see from our point of view. And, if the general consensus is true to what I'm saying, would it be possible to either revert back to pre-2.99b? Or at least make some of these new updates server-sided options (i.e. admin gets to decide if NV gets served as a perk or not; knifing distance, etc.). Thanks for hearing me out. Merry X-mas everyone!

Double tap was removed as it was over-powered, it was not replaced by NV. As explained above NV fits in best within the perk 2 category.
We cannot observe your playstyles due not not being able to join your servers, thanks to ping restrictions etc.
I suggest if the majority of people do not like the changes or are finding it difficult to get used to either disable the day/night cycle or revert to an earlier version.
We want it to be difficult, not a walk in the park. This is a personal project, and we do not get paid for this (except via a small amount of donations, 3 people so far), therefore we create the mod to cater for the experience we wish to have. We do take on people's considerations, but ultimately it is our choice.
It just seems to me that you are relying soley on 2 perks, when there are 6-7 perks available within that category. Also, once more there are only 2 minutes of complete darkness, which is the time NV is used. It does not come down to: Lose SP, or Lose NV. You have many choices in how you play. Why don't you chuck up some lasers and make a defensive perimeter when it gets dark, switch to a more powerful gun, squad up and bait the obs in, lure the obs to a knifeable position and own him in style, grab som sonic boom and explosives perk and have some fun, group up and hustle up for quick escapes, use scent mask and chills to get the drop on the obscurity. If your stuck using stopping power and upset because you don't have stopping power & NV, perhaps stopping power is OP?
You are just going to have to get used to it. Adjust, or contact your server admin to disable some settings or revert.
As for, NV is in the wrong category: Stopping Power > Bullet caliber/velocity > Equipment Scent Mask > Spray > Equipment Bullet Proof Vest > Protection > Equipment Sonic Boom > Stronger Explosives > Equipment NVG > Vision enhancement > Equipment Double tap > Incorrectly used in MW, but would be a skill Sleight of Hand > Faster reload > Skill
You can see that the majority of the perk 2 section falls into the Equipment category.
The ratio is there to help server admin achieve balance. If you believe it is imbalanced at its current ratio, get them to change the ratio. We like it difficult, so we set the ratio so that there are 1 or 2 obs vs 10 guys.
