Okay I have run servers for a VERY VERY long time but this one has me stumped. First off I notice a few more errors than I should typicall be exeriencing on startup of the server.... but that could be incidental...
Main issues...
Mapcycle will not load... jsut always defaults to the same start map... i even tried doing a custom mapcycle.cfg & loading it seperately outside of the default .cfg and nothing...
Also, in an empty test server it is crashing with error: 'Exceeded limit of 1000 'xmodel' assets'
I know you ahve had trouble with the xmodels but I cannot see if these are related issues or not.... and I'm stuck scratching my head...
***Oh and yes i've tried replacing the .cfg with a new default/stock one with no change...

You will only get that error if you have mp_citystreets in your cycle (District). It is the only map that doesn't work. Make sure you execute the obscurity_defaults.cfg to get the ball rolling with correct settings etc and map cycle.

Okay...that makes sense... but I have run the obs_default.cfg and my server still dies... (lookign at logs you are right it goes to mp_citystreets & dies) but that means I still have the issue that the server is NOT loading the mapcycle in the .cfg file... and I even tried a completely NON-modified default_obscurity.cfg
I have no idea why it wont run the map cycle... every other mod server runs fine...

Remove mp_citystreets for starters. Then it's probably best you read this topic. Hopefully that helps

Okay got it running... issue had nothing to do with .cfg ... i had the +set dedicated 1 in the command shortcut BEFORE the .cfg executed... moved it to after and voilia! it works....
