Been getting reports that eversince we updated the mod to include team play the lagg as got really bad and not just individual players thats all who play.

Since the new updates we have been getting a lot less lag spikes, maybe 1 a map now.

We are getting bad lag as well with the newest version...we are going to go back on step until a solution is able to be found. It gets even worse as the server fills up. We have a dedicated dual quad box so server hardware isnt an issue.

We have been getting lag issues since the introduction of the new ob weapon bullets. Its too much to process and half of the things don't get used.
Maybe there should be a basic version of the mod created without squads, and only keep teleport, pull and tracking

I would have to agree to that. Take a few things out slap it onto a beta server get some traffic and then see how it performs if all the lag is gone then put back one thing at a time to see what item is causing all the grief, then just leave that item(s) out. just my 2 cents. :)

Guys, we will try fix it. In the mean time see if you can answer any of these questions, which may or may not help us narrow it down.
Is the lag constant or random spikes?
Are people connecting to the server when it occurs?
Do you notice anything that may be causing it, a lot of squads, a person bugging, some sort of action that seems to preceed the lag?
Does everyone lag or just some people?
Does it lag from both teams, or does it seem to happen when your on a specific team?
Does the extended console say anything similar everytime it lags? (Shift+tilde)
If you have access to the server console, is it reporting any errors or similar things during the lag?
I'm not sure if this works but try recording a laggy session using /record and /stoprecord and send the file it makes to us.
DarkYoda, you said lag wasn't as bad this version. Is this still true or you just having a good session that day?
We will do our best to fix it, and any help you can provide will be much appreciated.

Guys check your configs and look for: sv_maxrate "25000"
If you dont see it ADD it!! That will help out a TON!! Hope this helps.

I spoke to riff about adding the command snake.
The lagg is better however we find that if we remove all squads the spikes are much better.
It's not a constant thing just spikes but it affects the whole server not just one team/person.

Reverting to a previous version is going to work, as the previous versions didn't have lag...something is lagging it up, but no guarantee its the squads

Like someone above posted keep adding stuff back into the version to see what makes it lagg. Then you can fix it.

Yea i noticed lag on your server but i never seem to notice it on mine, Just mine never seems to be as full as yours (SWINES )
No idea what causes it tho

I also recommend setting server to 16 players max. But that is just a recommendation, as that is around the amount of players we had in mind for this mod.

We got 20 and growing with no lag one bit. And we're running 2.91a to my knowledge.
