Hey guys! We are running some custom maps on our server. I have run into 2 problems. One is that with some maps the players will spawn inside of each other making the map unplayable. i have tried the maps with other mods but it is only this one that has the problems. It is not a big deal but some of them woul make great maps for OBS.
The second problem is that the day/night cycle does not seem to work for the customs. Is that something that you have to code for each map? Again this is not a huge deal but the night does add something to mod.

Is the problem of people spawning inside each other only on the initial spawn of each round in elim, or is it constant during say armoury?
And yes each map needs its own custom day/night cycle or else they don't look pretty :) Tell us which maps you want done and either snake or I will make them (unless they're too ugly to look good enough with one (Wetwork, euughww ))

As far as the spawns, I never tried it with armory cause of the initial spawn, but later maybe I will fire up the lan server and give it a try on arm.
The maps that we are currently using are:
mp_oldschool
mp_bacalao
mp_garena
mp_run_and_gun
mp_area52
mp_ic_cod
mp_scrap
mp_apesgorod
We are trying some more tomorrow and I will let you know.

the map mp_burg is amazing if you have quite a few players (ITS HUGE and has a big castle :D with multiple tunnels)

Some negative progress so far trying to get a cycle working on Burg. It seems the light values have been hardcoded into the map and cannot be changed, so it is highly likely that a large percentage of custom maps will not be getting day/night cycles. Fingers crossed this only affects mp_burg. Ill try on another map soon and provide an update.
Update: Tried another, failed, but Falcar may have a way to fix

Of course I have a way to fix it, it involves overriding it's stock Vision Files though, which is fine by me because I can just make the mod do this. Pretty fail to have a vision file full of the default settings though, does nothing apart from LOCKING THEM.
